Nightclubs in San Miguel de Allende

San Miguel's nightlife has a little something for everyone. Whether you are a teenager looking for a nice dance club with blaring music, young adult desiring a bar with other singles, a quiet restaurant for couples, or Salsa dancing for all ages. I haven't been to all the local spots, and will update this in the future as my visits to San Miguel increase. Following is a short list.

Mama Mia's is a multi-level bar and resaurant attracting all types. A romantic restaurant on the first floor, a bar with the latest hits, a dance club where local musicians often play, salsa dacing, and on the roof is another bar with great, romantic views of the stars above and San Miguel below.

Across the street from Mama Mia's is another top club in San Miguel de Allende named El Grito. This club always has a long line of young adults waiting to get in. It is also one of the most expensive. There is a cover charge, $15 to $20. The club is adorned with elegant glass and stone sculptures, has nice lighting and great music. On New Years Eve the cover charge might be as high as fifty dollars.

Panchos and Lefty's is another popular drinking spot in San Miguel de Allende. Offering dancing to DJ and live music, it is very popular with the young Americans. When I first went to SMA as a young college student this was one of our favorites mainly because of the Wednesday night 2 for 1 drink specials.

Mechicanos is fairly new. Popular with the young adult crowd, the first floor is a maze of glowing red lights. Nice popular and loud music.

With over two hundred bars and clubs to choose from, San Miguel has a lot to offer anyone who enjoys the night life and partying. No matter what you are looking for, whether it is drinking, dancing, sports, or just hanging out meeting new people, there are clubs which are a perfect fit in this fabulous city.
